| Banners In the Urban Planet content management system there is a separation between the content data and the design template. This allows an entire site to change its look without having to rewrite the content. Since banners are part of the design template and not the content they cannot be uploaded by the user. Use the forms to the right to upload a gif or jpg banner or to request a banner design.
All of the templates in the new version of Urban Planet require a banner. Listed below are the specs for some of the current templates, with links to web sites that use that template.
The new version of Urban Planet allows for the banners on child sections to be different from the home page. This feature has been used on the district web site. The home page has a fairly tall banner with child sections having a short variation of the same banner. If you choose to use this feature try to maintain a consistent look to the banners so the viewers recognize they are on the same web site.
